In Missouri, instead of $3 million, there would be $7.7 million. In Washington State, there is $3 million for neighborhood parks under the President's proposal; this would raise it to $8.3 million. I call to this body's attention two parts of the budget resolution. The first part has to do with drilling in ANWR. The second part is a new reserve fund that would permit taking the first $250 million of money that comes from the oil drilling and put it in the State grant program for the Land and Water Conservation Fund which would more than double the amount of Federal dollars available for neighborhood parks.
