I happen to think that cutting support for veterans is immoral.

I believe that we have a responsibility to care for our veterans, and to ensure that they receive the support and resources they need.

I regret that I was not able to do more for our nation's veterans.

We need to continue to support and invest in our nation's veterans and ensure that they receive the care and support they deserve.

But our Gold Star families, our military families, our veterans, they know this, intimately.

We're going to keep making vital investments in our veterans.

This is how we'll be judged: not just by how well we care for our troops in battle, but how we treat them when they come home.
