The cause of all mankind is the cause of America.

In a difficult and trying time in the life of our country, in the cause of freedom, may bring candles to help illuminate our country's way.

We together with Latin America are one.

I come today not as a citizen of Massachusetts, but as a fellow American.

Finally, I believe in an America where religious intolerance will someday end.

There is one problem that faces us all.

All of us--America--must stand together, stand strong and be of one mind if we are, from our position of strength, going to lead really on the road of peace.

Let us see whether we can get 100 percent of Americans out.

We know that so long as unity in freedom is withheld from the German people by those who seek to impose an alien and totalitarian system on a part of your nation there can be no permanent security in Europe.

Of course, there's always someone ready to step in our faces, too, but I think friendship is stronger than the jealousies and the hatreds.

The heart of America is not going to stand still while other Americans are in distress and in need of help.

I need emphasize to you the importance of a close tie between the two groups.

You must protect them for all, or your own will be lost.

America is a place of differing convictions, and if anyone wants to sit in an ivory tower and hear only from those people who believe with him, again, America will not be what he would hope it would be.

The continued support of our people through united community campaigns will assure that it will go forward.

No matter what part of the country a serviceman comes from, no matter what his race or religion, he wants to feel confident that what he is doing is important to other human beings, and that they are grateful for it.

I hope that everything will work out so that you can all stay together and have a wonderful time.

I call upon all our citizens and all interested organizations to unite in appropriate observance of Pan American Day and Pan American Week
