We are all proud of the ties that bind us together.

Our job in the end is not to tear anybody down and not to use this issue to divide America, but to build people up.

We can't have one without the other, and we can't have a strong community without both.

It didn't matter where you were from or who you were, you relied on one another.

Let's work together on this. It is too important for politics as usual.

But when our national interest is on the line, we all must rise above partisanship and act for our Nation.

I wish I could bottle what I have seen and heard here today and spread it out in every community in America.

We can turn this around. But we have got to turn it around, and we have got to do it together by lifting each other up.

Art strengthens the bonds among us.

We have shown that today's community of free nations can and will create a safer globe than did the divided world of yesterday.

Creating security in the post-cold-war era requires that we unite, not divide.

We have an extraordinary opportunity to improve the lives of all of our people by working more closely together and trading together more.

Let us look forward to a time when the whole world is united in believing that tomorrow can be better if we have the faith to make it so.

What's always made us great is coming together, facing our problems, joining together, and figuring out some practical, hard-headed way to solve problems.

Ordinary Americans all across our country ought to take heart today.

Diversity is our strength.

Pass it now, for them and for you.

Solidarity inspires us still.
