Unity
Every quote the archive has tagged unity.

I thank the Members of the American Congress of both parties whose presence here with me today is evidence of America's commitment to the common future we will make together.

We know our differences cannot divide us.

Today, we speak with each other, not at each other.

I have always said I belong to a party that puts progress over partisanship, that puts people over politics, that puts unity over division.

The last thing I'd like to say is I think that this theme, that Hillary and I have worked on, of one America means something to me.

We never make any real progress on any great challenge unless we go forward together.

And I think today we can put aside a lot of our normal conflicts and just think about what America is at its best.

When I say all Americans, I mean all Americans.

I hope we can all band together and redouble our efforts.

This is really about what we can do together to save our children and to strengthen our country's future.

We want you to join us in facing those challenges.

If this isn't one America for the 21st century, I don't know what is.

If you really believe in the American community, it must mean that every American should be part of a strong and growing and thriving and united community.

Today—on the eve of Christmas and the first day of Hanukkah—it is important for all Americans to come together as one community and remember those who are less fortunate.

You must make your desire for peace and a common future clear to the leaders of each group.

I think it would be a shame if we didn't try to do this together.

I want us to focus on the future, not the past; on doing things that help everybody, not just a few people; and on promoting unity, not division.
