I promised to join them in making 1972 a year of action for older Americans.

I also urge each individual American to use this month as a time to make a personal commitment to action on behalf of older people.

In times of controversy, Mr. Hoover was never a man to run from a fight.

I am most hopeful that your Committee and the Subcommittee on Small Business will schedule the MESBIC legislation for hearings in early May.

It is of great importance that the MESBIC legislation be given early attention by Congress.

We will not be defeated, and we will never surrender our friends to Communist aggression.
