The Nation is deeply saddened today by the loss of former First Lady Pat Nixon.

I always trust the people in the end. They pretty well get it right.

These two outstanding individuals will make fine representatives of our Nation.

I recommend that the Congress give favorable consideration to this agreement at an early date.

We can do it, too, if we do this, then tackle the deficit.

I think that this issue affects the American people so deeply.

I think it is a great advance, and I'm elated that the bill is going on to the House.

The operation is over and that it was a success.

I urge the House to act quickly on its own campaign finance reform bill.

You know, I don't believe that.

I was saddened to hear of the death today of former Governor and Treasury Secretary John Connally.

I believe that in the years ahead she will be able to be a force for consensus-building on the Supreme Court.

Today, we have that mechanism, and it works.
