I believe it to be highly important that a small committee of distinguished and disinterested citizens be appointed for the purpose of making a quick but adequate survey of the entire rubber question.

This order shall take effect as of June 1, 1942.

I hereby extend to all contracts of the Federal Communications Commission those provisions of the said Executive Order No. 9001.

I do hereby establish and proclaim the following-described areas as Maritime Control Areas.

This waste could be curtailed to the advantage of the individual motorist, and likewise to the advantage of the country, if the speed of all motor vehicles were limited to a maximum of forty miles per hour.
