Patriotism

On Gold Star Mother's Day, we recognize and pray for the devoted and patriotic mothers of these men and women in uniform who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our liberty.

I will choose to defend America every time.

We can be grateful to live in a country that has produced such good and brave people who stand between us and the dangers of the world.

May God bless you all, may God bless your universities, and may God continue to bless our great country.

Our guardsmen and reservists are showing great skill and courage, and America honors their unselfish dedication to duty.

The truth of the matter is, the great strength of our country is the heart and souls of our citizens.

America is grateful for their daring, grateful for their honor, and grateful for their sacrifice.

They died in distant lands to fight terror, to advance freedom, and to protect America.

Every veteran can be certain: The Nation you served and the people you defended are grateful.

On behalf of the Nation, I thank you for your service to our country.

I understand the true strength of America.

Today, we honor two American heroes who met that mark.

These are challenges that are worthy of our great Nation.

It would be that we become more the one America that we know we ought to be.

We should also be grateful for the strength of our democracy and the freedom we enjoy, thanks to the courage and patriotism of our men and women in uniform.

I think it made me very proud to be an American and proud that we had made these efforts and made this progress.

I also invite all Americans to display the flag at half-staff from their homes on that day.

As we celebrate Mexico's valiant fight for independence, let us rededicate ourselves to the principles that inspired the Mexican patriots who fought at Puebla.
