The Mutual Security Agency is hereby designated as the agency responsible for liquidating any outstanding affairs of the Economic Cooperation Administration which are now or hereafter required to be discontinued by law; and the said Agency shall be deemed to be the successor of the said Administration in all respects, subject to the provisions of the Mutual Security Act of 1951, as amended.

It shall be understood that the term of copyright in any case is not and cannot be altered or affected by this proclamation, and that as provided by the aforesaid title 17, no liability shall attach under the said title for lawful uses made or acts done prior to the effective date of this proclamation in connection with above-described works, or in respect to the continuance for one year subsequent to such date of any business undertaking or enterprise lawfully entered into prior to such date involving expenditure or contractual obligation in connection with the exploitation, production, reproduction, circulation, or performance of any such work.

It shall be understood that the term of copyright in any case is not and cannot be altered or affected by this proclamation,

I most sincerely hope that your Committee will consider this or a similar bill at the earliest possible time, so that it may be enacted into law during the present Session of the Congress.

This order shall become effective at the close of business in Washington, D.C., on June 29, 1951, and shall at that time supersede all prior Executive orders to the extent that they are in conflict with this order.

It is the duty of every person over eighteen years of age to answer all questions in the census schedules applying to him and the family to which he belongs, and to the farm or home occupied by him or his family, and that any person refusing to do so is subject to penalty as provided by law.

Under this act, the railroads no longer have to worry about antitrust laws when they set rates.

All rules, regulations and forms which have been issued by the Secretary of State pursuant to the provisions of said act of June 8, 1938, as amended, and which are in effect shall continue in effect until modified, superseded, revoked or repealed by the Attorney General.

My idea is we take everything we need, no matter what the technicalities are.

Nothing herein shall be deemed to render inapplicable existing state or Federal laws concerning the health, safety, security and employment standards of the employees of said railroad.

The entrance of new citizens upon the full measure of the responsibilities of their new allegiance to our American ideals of law and custom is always a most appealing occasion.
