Our Nation has adhered to the rule of law as the foundation for a safe, free, and just society.

And we say a special thanks for the sacrifices those men and women in uniform are making for our safety and freedom.

I am grateful that these distinguished individuals will be a part of this vital agency that has done so much to promote freedom and democracy around the world.

Today, this young man is free of drugs.

This is a special moment in the hopeful story of human liberty.

The policies we have in place are all aimed at giving the people in Cuba a chance to worship freely and to speak freely.

One promise of America is freedom, freedom for all.

Their creativity and determination help our country to live up to its promise of opportunity and prosperity and freedom for all our citizens.

Our ultimate goal remains clear: a stable and peaceful Korean Peninsula, where people are free from oppression, free from hunger and disease, and free from nuclear weapons.

These are the ideals that preserve America as the beacon of hope, the great light of freedom.
