In Korea the free nations are proving, by deeds, that man is free and must remain free, that aggression must end, that nations must obey the law.

Our own armed forces and those of our allies are essential to the protection of freedom.

Today, more than ever before, it is important that we continue to make progress in expanding our freedoms and improving the opportunities of our citizens.

Freedom-loving peoples can eliminate these conditions only by joining their knowledge and resources in a great cooperative effort.

All Americans who have come to know the Korean people appreciate their fierce passion for freedom and their keen desire to become an independent nation.
