We are also grateful that France maintains and improves its forces that are essential for defense.

A good defense is never a cheap defense.

The alert has already been discontinued with regard to NORAD, that is, the North American [Air Defense] Command, and with regard to SAC [Strategic Air Command].

I have given the highest priority to the work of eliminating this danger to our Nation.
