Stephen Gethins: “As a massive energy exporter, Scotland also has a critical role to play in safeguarding UK and European energy security.”

Today marked a declaration of our unwavering support for Scotland’s energy sector and for our resources to be used to the benefit of the people of Scotland.

It was previously said that up to 1000 jobs could be created at GB Energy’s HQ in Aberdeen and so far that has not come close to being met.

I welcome Audit Scotland’s constructive recommendations on ways it can be strengthened.

While prices have fallen since the peak in March, ongoing international uncertainty means further increases cannot be ruled out this winter.
