It is time to pause hyperscale data centre applications until councils have clear guidance, communities have certainty, and Scotland has a coherent national strategy to deal with them instead of a corporate free-for-all.

Our Parliament should be setting the highest standards. MSPs should be bringing people together and working to ease tensions, not inflaming them and trying to turn communities against each other.

Now that they are deciding what the next regeneration of Doctor Who will look like, there could not be a better time for Glasgow to make our case to be the new home of the Doctor.

Parliament should not be treated as a route to personal enrichment.
