For me politics is about improving people’s lives: creating better jobs, strengthening public services, expanding opportunities for young people and rebuilding trust among people who feel politics has stopped listening to them.

We need parliament to deliver for working class communities and that won’t happen with service cuts and job losses on the back of years of SNP mismanagement.

A Scottish Labour Party I lead will hold the SNP to account, oppose these cuts and seek a fairer funding settlement for local government.

The promise of our Scottish Labour Party is that we build a better, more equal nation, and we leave it as a legacy for our children.
