If you had an employee who told you they weren’t trustworthy, would you ask them to resign, senator?

My prediction is they will do to gay marriage what they did to abortion — they will send it back to the states.

I am very concerned about the example that is being set by anybody in our party … if an individual doesn’t want to support the party’s nominee now, it complicates their ability to ask voters to support any nominee later.

Because what we do is we use our primary to settle our differences, and once we have a nominee we rally behind that nominee.

We have a Democratic nominee. Are we a party who rallies behind our nominee or not?

I'm not taking them away from people.

However, as we near the funding deadline, Republicans are once again threatening to go-at-it-alone – heading our country towards a shutdown.

The only way to avoid a shutdown is to work in a bipartisan way, with a bill that can get both Republican and Democratic votes in the Senate.

Senate Republicans must decide: stand up for the legislative branch or enable Trump’s slide toward authoritarianism.

We know about their 191 consecutive days in combat, from the trenches of France to the banks of the Reine.

We need good science, and I’m going to bring that in.

There’s nobody who will fight harder to find a vaccine or a treatment for Lyme disease than me.

He gave them hell.

But the numbers don’t lie, the city is still the safest big city in the country.
