I vote a 91% Democratic line, and if Democrats have a problem with somebody that votes 91% of the same times as you are, more than nine out of 10 times, then maybe our party has a bigger problem.

I refuse to call people, like whether it's President Trump or other people, as they're Nazis or that they're fascists, or that we're trying to destroy our country.

I know it's not a political winner to talk about depression or self-harm or suicide, but that's an important conversation I'm willing to have.

It's entirely appropriate to have a conversation with yourself and people around you, of a stroke that quite literally almost took my life, now, should I remain in that?

For me, depression is the ultimate lie that you begin to tell yourself, that perhaps the best solution is to take yourself out.

I want to be a voice saying, 'hey, look, that's a lie. I don't know what your recovery looks like, but as long as you stay in it, I promise you you will get better.'
