I was in Moscow in 2016 just before the election. I came home and I said, 'They are going to mess with our elections.'

This is not new. This did not just start in 2016 or 2018.

This is a responsibility that is important to all of Congress.

I think they have not seen it as in their interest yet to cause a disruption.

All too often this issue has been used as a vehicle to push a radically progressive agenda that would prove to be devastating for American families, and would offer minimal, at best, climate results.

I regret the stereotypes that are often formed around this issue. Somehow all Republicans hate the environment and all Democrats are alarmist.

Are we changing our light bulbs? Are we not using plastic bags, and all of those things?

I believe, personally, having been a former mayor, that if you want to reduce it by 2 degrees, mayors know how to solve this.

If any of you have been to Utah, you will understand why I believe Utahans have it in their DNA to be good stewards of this earth.

It is the right thing to do.

I regret that, because of the anger in that area, nobody realized that my bill did more to protect the land than President Obama's designation.

The deal we ended up with now is worse than we had before the shutdown.

I think it clearly illustrates how crony capitalism is working very well in the last administration, and may do it again in the future.
