Simply put, the 2020 Census is in trouble.

I think this is a mistake and risks the success of the 2020 Census in States, especially in the western United States.

For too long, we have given Indian Country the leftovers. Members of these communities deserve to be counted where they reside, just like any other person.

One of the concerns that I have... is that all of our talk about mitigation... will take a back seat.

The lack of even a nominee for the Census Director position is very troubling.

We hope that Congress can be an effective partner for you.

I get all that, but I think anybody who looks at this... Why does it seem to be, to me, underutilized?

I can just tell you in North Dakota, you are going to have a heck of a time hiring Census workers.

A critical concern to me and to my constituents are the canceled tests in Indian Country.

It is, of course, critical to get accurate counts there, but we have to make sure that the Census is prepared to meet the needs of rural America.

The illicit trade in Native American tangible cultural heritage poses a threat to Native American cultural survival.
