The rise in violence, hate, and bigotry in our country is completely unacceptable and has no place anywhere in our communities.

In fact, in a gruesome antisemitic attack last year here in Teaneck, a man wielding a hammer broke the windows of a pediatrician's office and dry cleaners.

I am also proud the House recently passed my bipartisan, bicameral bill, the Invest to Protect Act.

Unfortunately, nationally, the ADL's audit of antisemitic incidents in the United States recorded 2,717 acts of assault, vandalism, and harassment in 2021.

Sadly, antisemitic incidents in New Jersey increased by 25 percent last year--the most ever recorded in New Jersey according to the Anti-Defamation League's (ADL) annual audit.

In 2021, the Southern Poverty Law Center documented 1,221 hate and anti-Government extremist groups across the United States, including antisemitic and neo-Nazi groups in New Jersey.
