I hear my Republican colleagues talk about problems, and somehow they forget issues like we have the highest rate of childhood poverty of almost any major country on Earth while the very rich are richer.

What does the President's budget do in terms of improving life in those communities?

The very good news is I believe we are making significant progress in fighting our way out of both of those disasters.

If we are serious about calling ourselves democracy, we need to end voter suppression and make it easier for people to vote.

We have seen this after other conflicts.

In the last 21 elections, in 19 case, the opposition party has won seats. We can`t lose seats. If you want to gain control of the House and Senate, do something bold that helps working families.

I reiterate the need for Congress to begin bipartisan and bicameral discussions with the White House to establish top lines for fiscal year 2022 so we can get on with our work in the committee.

In terms of health care, we remain the only major country on Earth not to guarantee health care to all people, and yet we pay the highest prices in the world for health care.

This would be first of its kind, absent action like the SACKLER Act.
