When we have a substantial change in the underlying case law that the original decisions were based on we think it’s important that the court follow the current standard and the current precedent.

It is deeply disturbing for the Secretary of Commerce to attempt to illegally interfere with lawful mail ballots in states that do not cooperate with President Trump’s unconstitutional attempt to ‘take over the voting.’

It’s a horrible decision. It undermines the voting power of black and brown communities all across this country, including in Washington state. It really flies in the face of 40 years of precedent.

Beyond the emotional toll of this horrific event, workers are understandably concerned about their livelihoods and their ability to support their households during what may be an extended period of operational disruption.
