I say to the Senator, I hear a lot of talk in this Chamber on both sides of the aisle about how we do worry about deficits and getting spending under control and getting some further disclosure or limits on earmarks. Some of that I do not even agree with. But there is a lot of positioning about how we need to get some better control on spending. Wouldn't this be one way to do that? "It would sort of help me before I do it again," sort of thing.
