Trent Lott: “Before the two managers of the Department of Defense appropriations bill leave the Chamber, I want to say again today…”

“Before the two managers of the Department of Defense appropriations bill leave the Chamber, I want to say again today, as I did yesterday, how much I appreciate the outstanding work that they did. We have just seen an unbelievable accomplishment, for this bill to have been completed in 24 hours, with tremendous effort yesterday. They obviously are two of the very best managers we have in the Senate, and on behalf of the Senate I thank them for their good work and hope that their example will be followed on other appropriations bills and with the bill that we are about to begin consideration of.”
