If somebody makes a credible threat of violence against a public official, regardless of their political background, that person should be prosecuted or at least investigated.

And, by the way, I think this situation is partly a referendum on Hegseth, but it's partly a referendum on Donald Trump. And the Republican Party has been taken over by Trump and he's calling the question.
