I applaud the effort. But I am afraid the problem is that some future Ethics Committee chairman is going to say that there is a difference in these exceptions, and that being a lobbyist is a barrier. And I agree with the Senator from Arkansas, that a lot of future Senators are going to be very embarrassed over this bill.
