We believe sequestration should be reversed. We believe that is the right course.

If the administration's actions and proposals will not be sufficient to restore FHA's fiscal health, then I plan to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle on the Banking Committee to find a bipartisan way to make that happen.

It would be a cruel irony if homeowners have the ability to stay in their homes because of a principal reduction...

Our first job is to do no harm.

If there are regulations that stand in the way of doing smart things, cut the red tape.

I think we can continue to revise those. What I do not think is acceptable is to say we are simply not going to try to make progress here.
