I think he has a tough job. He has a lot of new members. So even though I disagree with his answers and his programs, I sort of have a bit of sympathy for him trying to put them all together and get something passed.

We're bankrupt and we can't continue spending. And even these temporary proposals won't address the subject, that we will default. We won't default by not paying the bills. We will default by more inflation. And that is a serious problem.

I think the issue of war is so important on principle, because it's such a deadly issue. But it's also a major economic issue.

I served five years in the military. I have had a little experience. I have spent a little time over in the Pakistan/Afghanistan area, as well as Iran. But I wouldn't wait for my generals. I'm the commander in chief. I make the decisions…

I think faith has something to do with the character of the people that represent us, and law should have a moral fiber to it and our leaders should.

You can't legislate morality.

I don't think that the fact that he is now dead automatically makes us a lot safer. That's -- that's my point.

It cost 10 years, invading two or three countries, killing a lot of people, 5,000-plus American lives cost, a trillion dollars, to go after one guy? And we're supposed to now feel a lot safer?

It's time to come home.

I think the momentum is building. I think the American people are ready to quit fighting all these wars.

I don't think there's an authority to take money from poor people in this country and give it to rich dictators around the world.
