I commend the Committee for holding this series of hearings this week focusing attention on the government's fundamental responsibility for securing our borders.

I would submit that supporting drug trafficking is a form of asymmetrical warfare against the United States.

I believe we have a significant opportunity to recapture the initiative where our priorities are at stake: Democracy, security, and prosperity.

What are they doing here? I think that is what we need to spend a lot more time thinking about.
