Rodrigo Duterte: “Just because you’re a journalist, you are not exempted from assassination.”

I am the president of a sovereign state. And we have long ceased to be a colony. I do not have any master except the Filipino people.

My only sin is the extrajudicial killings.

What is the law and what is the crime that I committed?

Forget the laws of human rights. If I make it to the presidential palace, I will do just what I did as mayor. You drug pushers, hold-up men and do-nothings, you better go out. Because as the mayor, I’d kill you.
