Robert Wilkie: “VA is committed to being as transparent as possible with Congress, Veterans, and the American people.”

Customer service is the prime directive. When an American veteran comes to VA it is not up to him to employ a team of lawyers to get VA to say 'YES.'

There is nothing more important, and there is nothing more tragic, and you have my commitment that as long as I am privileged to be part of the VA team, that will continue to be the case.

I am opposed to the privatization of the Veterans Affairs Department and will continue to make sure that VHA is fully funded.

I am humbled today not only by the confidence placed in me by the President of the United States and the support of our veterans service organizations.
