I think that as long as we have respect for the institution and for the Minority to be heard, that this will bring accountability to the process.
It is to force there to be a group of senators on either side who have to respect one another's views so that they work together and produce 60 votes on important issues.
I have proposed a variety of improvements to Senate Rules to achieve a more sensible balance allowing the majority to function while still protecting minority rights.
Let us also hope that this hearing will provide information on the Government and company officials who should be held accountable.
