Look, I understand that you want to make a speech and I appreciate that, but there is no comparison between the NSA and the CFPB.

That is the law we are required to enforce. We will enforce it vigorously, and we believe to root out discrimination, which nobody supports, in any of these markets.

The notion that we are somehow going to take information and use it for political campaigns is deeply offensive.

Anything less than that is an abdication of the Director's responsibility to the Bureau and its employees.
