I remain committed to ensuring the OCC completes its review of this matter and takes additional actions to hold the bank and individuals accountable as warranted.
I think we are just trying to put consumers in a position so they can make choices that they won't regret later, so that they can know what they really would want to know at the time.
We do not want to dry up access to credit, and maintaining that balance is quite important.
Congress clearly indicated its purpose, to protect servicemembers in this area, and the rules did not get that job done.
