I want to say to everybody listening that in an effort to try to see where we were with this big surplus, we invited a lot of people to testify. At the suggestion of the other side, we invited the Comptroller General. He is a former CPA of some significant firm--one of the big firms. He loves to inject himself in the budget issues. And he does that with a great deal of enthusiasm. Sometimes I wonder if that is in his charter. Nonetheless, we hear from him. I want everybody to listen carefully to what he said. He was talking about the debt in the future. He was not talking about 10 years from now. He wasn't talking about 20 years from now. He was talking about the debt 25, 35, and 50 years from now; that is, we don't have all of these programs paid for during that period of time.
