this makes no sense to me as this Nation contiues to fight the war on terrorism and is now engaged in a war against Iraq. The antiterrorism training programs are more critical than ever, and they should continue to be carried out at LSU and New Mexico Tech, which have run successful programs for the Department of State for years. Mr. Chairman, would you agree with me that it is premature to withdraw current antiterrorism training assistance courses out of LSU and New Mexico Tech during these troubled times? I believe these programs with law enforcement personnel from other nations are more important than ever, and there is a significant benefit to the State Department in using the facilities at LSU and New Mexico Tech to continue these training programs. I would concur that the Department should continue to carry out these courses at these two universities.
