I am pleased to welcome Chairman Greenspan back before our Committee to testify on the Federal Reserve's Semi-Annual Monetary Policy Report to Congress.

[a]ll hearings under this section shall be public, unless otherwise ordered by the Board on its own motion or after considering the motion of a party.

In my view, a Secretary who forges meaningful partnerships to foster peace or reduce global poverty and hunger, promote democratic values, and address emerging threats can set our country on a course to greater security and prosperity.

This bipartisan legislation is cosponsored by the entire Maryland Congressional delegation.
