We feel it's a -- it's a betrayal. Forty-two thousand people have been killed. And these weapons that our own government gave -- facilitated to these violent criminals in Mexico, 200 plus people we know have been killed for them.

Clearly, I think this is real, that there's serious issues with gang violence and drug lords, cartels, all kinds of issues down in Central America.

I'm here to say that all these allegations that were in one of these newspapers are absolutely completely false, except for the issues that refer to me being gay. Because that's the truth. I am gay.

We will gladly step up. Yet what we ask for is for the Federal Government and for this Congress to carry out and make sure the laws are enforced.
