I appreciate the fact that our border towns are safe on our side of the border, but it is not logical to assume that will be the case when the level of violence on the other side of the border continues to escalate.

This is my obligation to protect the citizens and families in my county, and this is directly tied to a public safety issue.
And that's thing, you had eight years to take care of this, and you didn't. And the American people are fed up to hear with this nonsense, and the lawlessness that has occurred in this country.
It's proven to have worked but it has to be combined with constant surveillance in those areas and it does shut down the border.
We should all be pushing for secure borders and safety in enforcement of the law.
