Parents United for the D.C. Public Schools and the District of Columbia Parent Teachers Association (DCPTA) oppose any action by the Congress of the United States that would use federal funds to support a voucher program in the District of Columbia. Together, we represent the parents of the District of Columbia. Members of Congress may remember Parents United for the lawsuit that compelled the city to correct safety violations and which led to the development of a master facilities plan for the D.C. Public Schools (DCPS). The majority of our membership has overwhelmingly voiced strong opposition to funding vouchers in the District of Columbia.
