Melat Kiros: “We’re demanding a new kind of politics ... because that's the only way you can actually have a functioning democracy.”

Billionaires are draining our resources to develop a technology they want to replace us, millions will lose Medicaid in the new year to pay for tax cuts for the rich, and we’re spending billions on genocidal wars the voters oppose.

What we are fighting for is Medicare for all. Universal child care. Abolishing ICE. And ending the genocide in Gaza.

No one should be subjected to violence because of their beliefs or identity

Kiros got it right: respect for basic human dignity means that no one should be subjected to violence because of their beliefs or their ascriptive identity.
