Thanks to the strong support that this subcommittee has provided, the SEC has begun to rebuild that confidence by making needed and significant changes to virtually every aspect of our operations.

We have worked tirelessly to make the SEC a more vigilant, agile, and responsive agency over the past 2 years.

I think in the first instance, we have got to take care of retail investors. This is really a disgraceful situation in many ways.

These are critically important goals, and I support robust implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act's whistleblower program to support Congressional intent.
