Social Security benefits and SSI payments will increase in 2025, helping tens of millions of people keep up with expenses even as inflation has started to cool.

The Senate mark is certainly far preferable to what the House proposed to do to us.

At this rate, they [DOGE] will break it. And they will break it fast, and there will be an interruption of benefits.

We need to ask ourselves how it is that in a time of economic recovery, we did not win and -- or in some cases even engage in the economic conversation that Americans wanted to hear from us.
