“I look at the agenda in terms of the prescription drug coverage for senior citizens, which is something about which I have been concerned and I know the seniors in Minnesota are desperately concerned. I want to ask the Senators who have been here longer than I: When we go home for the holidays or adjourn for the year, and we are out of time to deal with some of these other important issues as well, should I tell the senior citizens from Minnesota that the reason we couldn't get prescription drug coverage is that we were sitting here week after week getting delayed on these votes and not even getting to the bills, so we did not have time to go on to anything else? It looks as if that is another one of the consequences of what is going on. Is that the case?”
