I think that President Putin was getting what he needed out of the Trump administration.

I was the target of a 'smear campaign' by the President and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani. I called Giuliani's work a 'campaign of misinformation.'

I have heard people close to the president from his administration saying that, if he had had a second term, he would no doubt have pulled the U.S. out of NATO.

Not only is it wrong, and bad for the American people, but it sends a signal to dictators around the world that deals can be done with that administration, weakening the United States.
