Madeleine Albright: “The importance of democracy is that it establishes a rule of law.”

I do believe that we need to see this as an opportunity, and I think that the pandemic has, in fact, proven the importance of having more cooperative activity.

Backing for democratic values must be the centerpiece of any strategy to create a more secure, stable, healthy and prosperous global environment.

Today, we must support democracy to make the world safe, and we should do so with confidence.

I do think that a new Administration does have a chance to really examine the relationship, and not be kind of, you know, rose-colored glasses about it.
