The Department has taken additional steps to better reach American students and families and root out the education bureaucracy that has burdened states and educators with unnecessary oversight.

In a time when too many are saddled with high debt and degrees with limited return, students and workers are seeking faster, more flexible ways of gaining the skills employers need.

Make no mistake, the Department will fully enforce federal law and employ every resource at its disposal to protect children from sexual predators.
