Larry Craig is a former U.S. Senator from Idaho, serving from 1991 to 2009 as a member of the Republican Party. During his tenure, he was known for his work on issues related to transportation, agriculture, and natural resources. Craig was a prominent advocate for the construction of highways and infrastructure improvements in Idaho. He also served on various Senate committees, including the Appropriations Committee and the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. In 2007, he was involved in a controversial incident at an airport restroom that led to his decision not to seek re-election in 2008, ultimately resigning from the Senate in September of that year.
There are many challenges facing Idaho that I am currently involved in. And the people of Idaho deserve a Senator who can devote 100 percent of his time and effort to the critical issues of our state and of our nation.
