Larry Craig is a former U.S. Senator from Idaho, serving from 1991 to 2009 as a member of the Republican Party. During his tenure, he was known for his work on issues related to transportation, agriculture, and natural resources. Craig was a prominent advocate for the construction of highways and infrastructure improvements in Idaho. He also served on various Senate committees, including the Appropriations Committee and the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. In 2007, he was involved in a controversial incident at an airport restroom that led to his decision not to seek re-election in 2008, ultimately resigning from the Senate in September of that year.

Shame on us, the Congress of the United States, for standing in the way of production in this country in many instances fallaciously in the name of the environment.

I believe they phonied the science, and as a result of that I got an appropriation with the help of this committee.
